If you know me, you know that I am not into makeup at all. In tenth grade, I decided to go out and buy probably about $150 worth of nice makeup that I’ve probably used about three times to date. Bad decision. I have troubled skin & makeup just seems to make it worse (for the most part)! UNTIL I FOUND GLOSSIER!!! Glossier is a makeup & skincare brand out of New York. I think it’s safe to say that I may or may not be one of their biggest fans (I am, without a doubt). They have a variety of skin care products ranging from face masks to lipstick. Their products work extremely well. Not to mention their packaging… which is BOMB. You guys- I am a sucker for packaging. Obviously I’m no expert. Well, I’m not quite sure that anyone can be a so called “expert” of a city. All I know is that I love cities and anyone that knows me knows that I love New York. Writing that made me think of those ‘I Heart New York’ shirts- pair one of those bad boys with mom jeans + my Adidas and you’ve got me SOLD. Okay… moving on. Like I said, obviously I’m not a native New Yorker. But, overtime I’ve gathered quite a few spots that, personally, I am a big fan of. When I visit a new city, I try to find local spots and get a better feel for the neighborhood that I’m in. I get this feeling when I’m in the city, one that I can’t seem to explain. A couple of months ago, I started to jot down some things that I wholeheartedly love. And by love, I mean LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. Get the point? I thought so. I’m not quite sure how to begin this paragraph, post, entry? So, I guess this will have to be the start. Last year, I created a blog to share my thoughts about my faith and my journey with self love in hopes of reaching someone on the other side of the screen. You see, I’ve always had a love for writing. There’s something wonderful about having a beautiful thought or an exciting idea and being able to document it. Recently, my brain has been overwhelmed with thoughts and ideas. I believe I’ve overwhelmed myself. I’m not “good” at keeping a consistent paper journal, so I thought that I’d give blogging another shot. My purpose for this blog isn’t the same as the other blog that I had created last year.
